Why is Acuity Institute less expensive than other providers?

At Acuity Institute, we made the decision to keep our prices reasonable in order to be accessible to more students, especially during these tough economic times. We are able to offer our courses at a reasonable price because we are an online training company and focus on keeping our overhead low, so you are not paying for the overhead of a large, brick-and-mortar learning institution.

We want to standout from the rest, so we are committed to providing the most complete training and certification programs at a reasonable price.

Is there a trial period when I can cancel my online course and receive a refund?

If you are not completely satisfied within 14 days of purchasing your course, you may request a 100% refund through our Contact Us area. Fill in your request along with a reason why and one of our associates will notify you of the reimbursement. Any request received after this trial period is not subject to reimbursement.

Can I complete an online training course if I don’t have a problem/project identified?

Yes. The training courses are designed to be completed independent of an actual business improvement problem/project.

Are there any prerequisite training or certifications needed to begin Acuity Institute's online courses?

There are no prerequisites to begin any of our training courses. View the descriptions for Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt and other courses to determine which course will meet your needs.

How will I know that my operating system will run the online course before I purchase it?

You will need a computer with a Microsoft Windows operating system (98, NT, 2000, XP, or Vista). You will also need sound capability on your computer (speakers or headphones) and a web browser (Internet Explorer recommended).

What is your return policy for course materials?

You may return unused printed course materials within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Printed course materials that have been used or returned more than 30 days after delivery will receive a partial refund (25% of purchase price). Course materials must be returned in their original packaging. For eBooks, you can download a free sample. Once the eBook is purchased there are no refunds.

Do I need a high speed internet connection?

Yes, a high speed internet connection is required for optimal performance.

How do I know Acuity Institute’s certifications will be recognized in the industry I work in?

All of Acuity Institute’s materials were developed and certified by Six Sigma experts. We have been working in Six Sigma related roles and industries for 10+ years and our collective experience and reputation are exceptional. Six Sigma is not controlled or administered by a single governing body, so our certifications will be recognized in all industries.

What payment methods do you have available?

We have a few payment options available to our customers.

We can accept payment through PayPal using your credit or debit card, bank account or PayPal balance.

How long does it take to complete the program?

As this is self paced training, the time to complete depends on the time investment of each student. Here are some typical timeframes by program:

Black Belt Certification – Approximately 85 Hours
Green Belt Certification – Approximately 55 Hours
Kaizen Workshop – Approximately 5 Hours
Disruptive Change Management – Approximately 20 Hours

If I purchase the Basic Program, can I upgrade to the Standard or Advanced at a later time?

Yes. You can upgrade at anytime. You would only have to pay the $ difference in the programs.

Is it true that my Acuity Institute training may be tax-deductible?

According to the IRS, all expenses of continuing education undertaken to maintain and improve business and professional skills are tax deductible. (Treas. Reg. 1-162-5). Please contact your tax advisor for details.
